Typhonium trilobatum is a genus in the Araceae family endemic to tropical Asia, the South Pacific, and Australia. Most of the plant parts of Typhonium trilobatum are used in traditional systems of medicine in India. According to Ayurveda, the rhizome is used with effect for treating vomiting, cough, asthma, excessive expectoration, pyogenic sore throat, headache, gastric ulcer, abcess and snake bite. The present work objectives focus on scientific exploration of anti microbial activity of whole plant of Typhonium trilobatum. The test all extracts exhibited prominent antimicrobial activity against all tested organism, where chloroform extract shown the maximum zone of inhibition. The order of antimicrobial activity of all extract are, chloroform > Methanolic >Ethyl acetate against bacteria i.e. Escherichia Coli, P. aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and S. Epidermidis and fungi i.e. Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger .
